January is over! Already the first month of a new year.
In had two big winners with ASML (+20%) and IBM (+16%). Furthermore I had some smaller winners like MRK, V and MDT. Biggest loser is (again) MPW (-37%), HASI, INTC, BHP (all lost around 10-12%)
Let's see how many companies sent me a dividend check for my ownership. These checks are the results of decisions I made earlier in life, sometimes years ago, where I decided to purchase shares in these companies. Nowaydays I still collect these checks but I have to do absolutely nothing to receive them. They just get deposited in my brokerage account, no questions asked. Isn't that great?!
A total of just over € 5.950,- after tax. Ten companies paid me dividends. The dividend income increased by a small margin, but that's mainly because my annual dividend from Brink was the same as last year. But this position still pays the bulk of my annual dividend income so I am quite pleased with another big dividend payment (>10% yield). I expect a (smaller) final payment later in the year.
Dividend income from my US stocks rose more than 45% compared to 50% compared to last year. This increase is mainly the result of my new position in HASI and recent purchases of Realty Income (here and here). Dividend growth for my other holdings is somewhat muted.
