The month has passed and it's my favorite time, giving an update of my dividend portfolio. I've updated my benchmarks to include the total return indices, instead of only the stockprice indices. This seems like a better comparison.
The Dutch market surged upwards, as did the American markets . USD.EUR rose which made my dollar listed equities more valuable. And what did my portfolio do? It gained 2.4% which is great. Even though I am focused on dividend income and growth, It's always nice to see portfolio value increase.

Purchases
- None (yesterday I opened a position in Aflac, I'll post about that later on)
Dividends received
My 12-month forward dividend rate is now €641, compared to €620 last month. This increase is due to Deere's dividend increase and a slight change in the USD.EUR-rate. In the next month I expect another solid increase because my purchase of Aflac will count towards my annual dividend income.
How was your month? What are your plans for the coming month? Keep plowing your money into the stock market or maintain a cash position to use when the markets continue to move downward?
- DE: 18 shares @ $0.51 for a total of $9.18
- KMI: 48 shares @ $0.42 for a total of $20.16
- OHI: 59 shares @ $0.50 for a total of $29.50
- TGH: 43 shares @ $0.47 for a total of $20.21
- Accell: 26 shares @ €0.55 for a total of €14.30 (DRIP'ed 1 share)
Total: around €66 after tax which is 3.5 times more than I received last year in May.
Dividend increases
- DE raised its quarterly dividend payment with $0.09 to $0.60 per share, an increase of almost 18%. This raise adds around $6-7 to my yearly dividend income
Portfolio value
Though it's not a pre-defined goal to archieve a certain amount of networth, I'd like to monitor this progress as well. The value of my portfolio is at €16.900 (as of May 31th). This is an increase of €400 (+2.4%) compared to last month. I don't really mind this at all, however since I am still in the accumulation phase I'd like to see some lower stockprices in the future. This way I can reinvest my dividends with greater effect!

ReplyDeleteAnother solid month for you. I like the graphs. It's great to actually visualize your dividend growth and see how far you have come. Your May numbers year over year show insane growth. Keep it up and thanks for sharing.
