Dividend report - March 2019

It's time to give an update of the dividends I received last month. Ten companies decided to pay me a dividend for my ownership. Total dividends (after tax) are around €153. My highest amount ever! This is 17% more than last year.

You can see the breakdown in the table below.

The report shows all sorts of things! Firstly there are big dividend raises from UNP and BBL. And there are smaller raises in the range of 3 to 7% from different companies. Finally the dividend raises in their correspending currencies are between 9 and 12%. However, due to the change in USD.EUR rate the dollar growth accelerates when exchanged into EUR.

Yearly dividend income (before taxes) stands at around €1270 which is a slight increase since last report. This is due to recent dividend raises, dividend reinvestment from my investment in RDS and a slightly favorable USD.EUR currency exchange rate.

  2. 17% year over year growth is awesome! The great thing about dividend growth investing is that you end up owning companies across the economic spectrum. Some companies might do better in the early cycle, other in the middle and other in the late stages of an economic expansion. But combined the companies help to pick up each others' slack to keep moving the portfolio forward.
